CELEBRATION OF SCOUTING

The annual "Celebration of Scouting" is a prayer service honoring all scouts and their leaders in the Oakland Diocese. Religious awards earned during the year are presented at the Celebration. Scout groups are invited to process into the Cathedral with their banner or flag.

The 2011 CELEBRATION OF SCOUTING!

The annual "Celebration of Scouting," celebrating young people and their leaders in scout programs, was held on Saturday, February 12 at the Cathedral of Christ the Light. Over 80 scouts from around the diocese attended along with their families and received their religious awards. Also honored were Diocesasn Scout Chaplain Fr. Larry D'Anjou and Beatrix Agronow, St. Bonventure Parish, with the St. George Award for outstanding service to scouts.
